Piccini: “Valencia is our home and the Valencian people are our people”
The former Valencia CF footballer has helped those affected by the DANA storm with over 3,000 kg of food
Jaume Domènech spoke following the game versus Atlético Madrid at Mestalla:
"We're sad. Although they had chances to score in the first half, in the second half they had hardly anything. Losing the points in such an unfortunate way hurts, after the effort and great defensive work from the whole team today.
We knew that they are a side who concede few goals. We knew that they were going to push us at times, but we defended very well. We had some chances on the counterattack to score. I think that the fairest result would have been a draw."
"I think that we had been showing a solid identity since a few matchdays ago. That's the idea that we want, but we need to start picking up the three points consistently to back up our work even more.
Now we're going to rest up, and from tomorrow we will get back to work. We've got a week in which to prepare for the game against Eibar, and then we'll go there looking for the win."
